Thematic get-togethers

Thematic get-together for executives starting out: how to develop organisational sensitivity?

Organisational sensitivity or organisational awareness is all about having a due understanding of how an organisation actually works in practice. Having organisational sensitivity not only sees you being mindful of the formal and hierarchical management echelons within an organisation, it also gives you a proper sense of the internal relationships and behaviours of people. You are wise to the fact that different views and interests are involved and that power factors come into play. You know how to deal with these elements if you want to get something done in an organisation. You have ‘feelers’ and a ‘keen sixth sense’. You gain insight into your preferred styles in the areas of communication and people management and you learn how to reflect on your own actions.

Practical details

Setting out from your own organisation, at this afternoon session you will be plotting a roadmap as you learn to understand the language spoken there. You acquire a better sense of your role and your place within the organisation and what this means for the way you function.

The company’s history, the founders, the stories, the core business and changes and any mergers it went through: everything is covered.

This thematic get-together is an interactive afternoon session, with plenty of room for interaction between participants.Register
